Nice little romance story. I enjoyed the characters and the plot. And the setting. This is probably the first Australian romance I've ever read - not because it was set in Australia, I've read plenty of those, but because it was written in Australia by an Australian using the flow of the language down there. Awesome step away from the usual US romances.

Let Me Love You Australian Sports Star Series Book 2 edition by Iris Blobel Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews

I skipped most of this book because the h was annoying. I was planning on reading the other book in this series but I just can't.
Though the writing was good, this story just wasn't for me. The couple was actually a train wreck. I checked out on the female the first couple of pages. The male not much better. The six months or whatever they were apart just sealed the certainty for me that I didn't care one way or the other whether they got together or not. Writers really need to start writing about characters who handle grief graciously and not like they need to be committed. I cannot connect with characters anymore who take behavior to such extremes over the loss of someone. If I cannot connect with a character and the writer cannot justify the behavior, other than my husband died therefore I will become a closed off cold bitch, then I won't root comer the HEA. She was one of the coldest characters characters I've read about, and I never understood why. The way she initially behaved I thought maybe shave had been attacked, beat, raped....but it was just her husband dieting, and though that is tragic, her behavior was so off that I thought she needed in patient counseling for bipolar disorder. Just really weak.
This is the first book I read by author. I really enjoyed this book. I will have to read book 1 in this series. You can read this as a standalone
Having enjoyed the first book in this series, I was more than happy to read Let Me Love You – but each book stands alone and you don't have to have read one to understand the other. Nor do you have to know baseball inside-out to follow the story!

Oliver and Tamara appear to be opposites in the way they live life – he outgoing, she nervy and insular after a recent tragedy. And yet both choose to keep people at arm's length and neither are looking for romantic involvement. The attraction they feel for each other is initially unwanted but ultimately can't be ignored.

When Oliver is injured, he must reevaluate his career and his attitude to relationships, just as Tamara must decide the best way to forge forward rebuilding her life.

This is an enjoyable romance exploring the way two people cope with loss and tragedy in different ways, with likeable secondary characters adding variety and humor.

I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
