Revised and updated. Keira is content in her small, medieval village - well, sort of. Her mother is pressing her to marry, but her suitors are less than desirable. So when handsome Aaron Drake arrives in the village and focuses his attention on Keira, she cannot help but be interested. But Aaron is not the only new arrival in the area - a fire-breathing dragon has also taken up residence in the mountains, not far from the remote alpine castle that Aaron calls home. What exactly is the connection between Aaron Drake and the dragon? Why is his arrival coincident with the arrival of a beast? And when the dragon rescues her from the unwanted attentions of some village boys, who will set out to rescue her from the huge, scaly, fire-breathing monster?
Bound by a Dragon sweeps the listener far from the modern world into a world of castles, medieval markets, and fantastical romance.

I loved this story. There were dragons but no magic, sorcerers, mages, demons or dirty violent sex. Aaron was a gentleman and a knight in shining armor. I wish there were more fantasies like this! Bravo!Product details

Bound by a Dragon The Dragon Archives Book 1 (Audible Audio Edition) Linda K Hopkins Linda Hopkins Books Reviews
When Linda wrote this series she opened up a world of intrigue and marvel .The first book left you wanting more and this new book just sucks you in even deeper ,this is a wonderful story of love and understanding for anyone who loves dragons . I can't really put my thoughts to the right words but I can say this much you won't want to put this book down.If there was 10 stars I would give it 20.
I totally loved this book. It's very well written and I live every minute of it. I didn't want to put it down. I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys fantasy with romance thrown in. This book is bound to grab attention with there being dragons in it and mentioned in the title. For some reason lots of us are fascinated with the medieval genre and the combination of fantasy and romance thrown in it.
I want to be in the head of this writer, meet her, shake her hand, and steal her imagination. This is best series of Dragon books I have ever read. She hasn't made it all about fantasy and pretty colors, but made it as real as it can be in the everyday world. When I lift my head from this book, every time, I have this sadness that there are'nt actually dragons flying over head. The love story is beautiful and the Saga that this book starts rivals the best books you've ever read. Why this hasn't been made into a movie, I dont know. I am currently on the 4th, and pre ordered the 5th one already. You wont regret reading this.
Though the premise sounded interesting, this book ultimately fell short for me. I skimmed through the last half, just so I could say I finished it. The heat level was moderate to mild - a few kisses between the couple before they are married and plenty of closed door bedroom scenes after they are married.
I appreciate how much effort it takes to produce a novel, however after reading the first couple of chapters it felt like it was written for kids - there was a lot of narrative telling and explaining which dragged down the pace of the book. The book was well edited, without typos and misspellings to distract from the very predictable story.
I couldn’t get attached to any of the characters, including the main characters. The villains were a bit two-dimensional, like they were just there to give the hero someone to fight. They didn’t seem like real people with believable motivations.
I’m a sucker for a happy ending, but the unsurmountable obstacles and unexpected twists and turns you experience along the way are what make the story a fun read. This story lacked good obstacles. Everything was too easily solved to make this an interesting read.
A clean dragon-shifter romance book, suitable for teens or adults (no mature scenes). The pace is steady but draws you in very quickly. Characters are believable and well developed. Suspenseful plot. Will definitely be buying the sequel!
Fantasy romance. Kiera is fascinated by the dragon that flies over her small village from the mountains. While everyone else scatters in fear, she basks in its beauty. When she meets Aaron Drake, a handsome man who has moved into the mountain castle, she is intrigued by him. This tale delves into romance between two very different beings, and how they make it work. It has mystery, intense action and violence, heart-pounding romance (but clean), and superb characters who grow throughout the story. I really liked this unique romance. Fantasy’s not really my favorite genre, but this was pretty well done.
An interesting concept and story, with great descriptions of the dragon, transformations, and the time period, but very drawn out and repetitive. For example, the author would show something (great writing), but then tell readers (redundant) and then even have characters talk about it (tedious). A well written book should show not tell as well; this seems as if the author has no expectation that readers can comprehend what is shown or does not have the confidence her writing comes across clearly (I think it does). It was a bit predictable and a huge reveal is exposed 20% way through book. From there on it is very repetitive to the point that crises and the climax don't have a great impact on the reader. I started out loving the book and by halfway through I had to force myself to finish. The leads were great but the characterization of the mother and villains were irrational to the point of disbelief. I'm glad it was free and it has potential if cut down to avoid over explanation readers already can surmise from the description s.
